Reduce, Re-use and Recycle
One of our Directors has a degree in Environmental Science and is a member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences so we take our responsibilities seriously.
Reduce
We use the minimum packaging necessary to ensure your products arrive safely, and all new packaging material we use is produced in an environmentally-responsible way. If we do have to use a new box or packaging, it will be UN/FSC approved, probably made from recycled material, and we use paper packaging tape.
Re-use
You will sometimes find bubble-wrap or other plastic material in our boxes, or perhaps a box that seems an odd shape. This is because we tend to save the packaging from goods we receive, and if we have plastic packaging in the reclaim bin we’d rather re-use it than throw it away.
We don’t send products in branded or marked boxes, or using custom-printed inner wrapping, so hopefully you might be able to re-use the materials for something as well.
Recycle
Anything we discard is always separated out into categories for recycling. We don’t throw much away, and the little that we do discard is mostly cardboard boxes and other materials with manufacturer’s branding on them that we therefore can’t re-use.
