Who we are
This service is run by Green Dog Design and Consultancy Ltd, a small family-run business whose main workshop is located near Forfar in Scotland.
How We Came To Be
The nature of business is that companies buy each other out, merge, or sometimes disappear, often leaving customers with systems which are unsupported or outdated. Green Dog Design and Consultancy was setup in 2019 by software and engineering system designers with decades of prior experience in both small and multinational enterprises, with the aim of providing ongoing support for customers whose businesses rely on maintining legacy systems, some of which stretch back to the days when business systems were written in Cobol and barcodes were read with a wand.
Why Label Printing?
Label printing is one particularly niche area which kept coming up in conversations, and still does. Many businesses continue to deal with mountains of documents and books labelled with barcodes that were specified for software and systems which either no longer exist, or were structured in such a way as to tie the customer into a specific supplier who no longer exists. For this reason we decided to offer label printing as an easily-accessible service.
If you need simple labels, we have a range of preformatted designs, or we can either replicate your existing label format, or create something better suited to your product or workflow.
If you are a company who sell or maintain software, and your customers need periodic or ad-hoc supplies of pre-printed labels, we can print and ship labels directly to your customer as a fulfilment service. The fact that we already do this for various companies and you have never heard of us is exactly how it ought to be.
We supply labels to various government and local authorities, schools, libraries, solicitors and manufacturers, so whatever your labelling requirements please get in touch. We can probably work together.
