Roll of 1000 labels containing an EAN-13 and Product Description.
- The barcode on these is the standard EAN-13 symbology used to label products for sale throughout the world.
- We cannot provide the 13-digit EAN (European Article Numbering) code. Manufacturers must buy a block of numbers because those are registered to a specific supplier in a central database and that allows retailers to trace the origin of the products.
- If you only have a 12-digit UPC (Universal Product Code from North America) add a leading zero. EAN codes starting with zero are the equivalent of a UPC.
- The barcode is NOT incremented on these labels. They are all the same.
- If the description and/or bottom line is left blank the barcode will be taller to balance the unused space on the label.
We can print EAN-8 codes to order, however the concept behind the 8-digit codes is that they are reserved for items that are too small to fit a 13-digit code on. Printing them on a 2×1 label is therefore technically a misuse of the system as there are a severely limited number of 8-digit codes and they should not be used where there is space for a 13-digit code. If you need 8-digit codes you probably want them on a smaller label. We can do that.
